About
The Macton Corporation designs and manufactures large, moving structures and equipment for a wide variety of transportation, industrial, architectural, and commercial applications. Macton Corporation has been engineering, fabricating and installing high quality moving structures for six decades, from 140-foot diameter turntables and 75 ton lifts, to 95-ton people movers and 55-ton transporters.
Macton’s offices and manufacturing facilities have remained in Connecticut during its entire history. Recently relocated to Oxford, Connecticut, our commitment to these larger quarters was followed by the purchase of the transportation equipment product lines of two well-known companies, Joyce-Dayton Corporation (acquired in February of 1999) and A.T. Moeller Corporation (acquired in March of 2000). These acquisitions provided Macton with a complete line of lifting and accessory equipment for the maintenance and servicing of transit cars and locomotives, as well as a full line of railway sanding equipment.
In addition, in August of 2008, Macton achieved its ISO 9001:2000 certification, and has subsequently achieved the 2008 certification. Macton sought ISO certification as part of its ongoing efforts at continuous improvement in its product quality and ongoing operations.
Macton Corporation is currently owned by the members of its senior management team, which allows Macton to focus on continuing to serve the long-term needs of its customers. We remain committed to providing our customers with the same level of innovative engineering, high-quality manufacturing and strong ongoing support that has set us apart from other companies throughout our company’s long history.
