ACME WIRE PRODUCTS IS THE MADE IN CT MANUFACTURER OF THE WEEK
October 05, 2012
(Rocky Hill, Connecticut) – CONNSTEP announced today Acme Wire Products Co., Inc., is the featured Made in CT manufacturer of the week. Acme Wire Products is a custom fabricator of precision steel and stainless steel wire and metal components. Acme Wire Products provides custom tooled engineered parts of superior weld integrity. The company services markets as diverse as medical, food service, safety, material handling, sporting goods, OEM and electronic instruments and equipment.
“Acme Wire wanted to improve their internal controls although at the time no clients were demanding ISO registration as a condition of future business. This was a forward-thinking use of a quality registration as a growth strategy. The registration will gain Acme more business, but it will also give them a better dashboard to run their business.” Robert Kravontka, CONNSTEP Business Growth Advisor.
The Made in CT Program (www.made-in-ct.com) is a dedicated feature on the CONNSTEP website that has created a directory for the state’s manufacturers to showcase their products and services. Connecticut manufacturers can register to receive a complimentary company profile page to share company history, products/services and company news. The goal of the program is to showcase the products made in the Nutmeg State and highlight the contributions of the manufacturing community to the public. Additionally, the program provides social media forums for manufacturers to connect with one another and discuss industry issues.
All participating companies have the opportunity to become the featured manufacturer of the week. As the featured manufacturer of the week, PCI Medical will be prominently displayed on the CONNSTEP website as well as on the “Made in CT” Facebook page, LinkedIn group and Twitter feed (@CTMade).
“Connecticut’s manufacturers play an integral part in our state’s economic health and account for over 12 percent of the state’s total output. We are home to 5,000 manufacturers who employ more than 169,000 workers and serve as the primary exporter of goods,” says Bonnie Del Conte, president and CEO of CONNSTEP, “We are excited to provide an opportunity for our manufacturers to benefit from greater exposure and to be recognized for the important impact they make on the Connecticut community.”
