Learn to Apply Lean Thinking

What is “Lean Thinking”?

Lean is a systematic approach to analyze and improve the flow of information and materials by eliminated waste. Lean Thinking employs Lean principles and tools to create greater output efficiencies, enhance value for the customer, and increase profits.

Lean Awareness Workshops

Give your company an understanding of how to apply lean principles and use lean tools to improve their business environment and enhance overall flow. Our Lean Awareness Training is taught by Connecticut’s only Lean consulting firm with independently verified results. It covers:

  • Lean definition and principles
  • Lean tools and their application
  • the significance of material flow and its impact on lead time & cost
  • definition and examples of the 8 wastes
  • examples of the measurable impact of Lean

We employ a learn/do approach to education. Our interactive workshops demonstrate the potential benefits of Lean by experiencing lean principles in action. This Lean workshop combines lecture and hands-on simulation to explain the principles and tools of Lean Thinking. It introduces the concept of change as a positive force. Simulations demonstrate and compare:

  • traditional vs. cellular layout
  • batch production vs. one piece flow
  • push vs. pull
  • traditional vs. flexible workforce concepts
