Robert Blakey Chief Financial Officer
Primary Responsibilities
Robert manages all areas of accounting at CONNSTEP and is responsible for financial planning, compliance, and reporting. He supervises the finance department and leads the budgeting process, grant reporting, financial reporting, and cash management for the organization.
Notable Performances
Robert has over a decade of experience in non-profit accounting as well as several years working with small businesses. Prior to entering the field of accounting, he conducted economic demographic analysis as a consultant. Robert has previously served as CFO, and Interim CEO, of the Connecticut Association for Human Services where he guided the organization through a merger with AIDS Connecticut which formed the umbrella agency Advancing Connecticut Together.
Achievements
Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. He also earned a Master of Arts in Economics from the American University in Washington, DC.
