Primary Responsibilities

Arani leads the Operational Excellence (OpX) function at CONNSTEP. OpX at CONNSTEP innovates for Industry 4.0 initiatives, Grant Management, Program Management, Change management, and process improvement; shapes strategies, processes, toolsets, technologies and mindsets to create competitive advantage and increase efficiencies in our business environment; evaluates, prioritizes, and implements projects; provides leads to respectful management decisions, outcomes and growth; and aims to optimize methodologies and techniques, mitigate errors and sharpen performance across layers of the business model.

Notable Performances

Arani developed CONNSTEP’s operational plan for the adoption of Industry 4.0 programs that deliver advanced technologies of Digital Transformation, Additive Manufacturing, Robotics, and Cybersecurity to strengthen manufacturers in Connecticut. This work secured funding from the Board of Directors for pilot initiatives.

Reengineered business processes and delivered requirements for a product providing extended functionality to facilitate STP of payment transactions generated by Conventional Debt and Structured Finance services for Institutional Trust Services at JP Morgan Chase, London.

Project managed BPR and implementation of eCommerce systems related to trade settlement processing for Equity Finance securities borrowing and lending for the Corporate & Institutional Banking Division of Deutsche Bank UK. Also established and headed a regional business unit, driving AD policies and global best practices for the Methods & Procedures Department of Commercial Banking IT at Deutsche Bank UK.

Developed insurance systems, detailing business models, utilizing structured analysis and design techniques and data conversion routines, and designing system/integration/UAT testing for NRMA Insurance Australia.

Achievements

Arani is globally experienced in the banking and financial services sector with a track record in multi project management, strategic IT planning, product management, business process reengineering and business analysis, change management, application development and operations.

She has managed stakeholder and client relationships, and executed complex plans and processes in various multinational projects and service functions in Europe, UK, USA, and Australia.

She is accomplished in building new business units within corporate entities – including team building, structured planning, and budgetary responsibilities. Her credentials in engineering seamless, reconcilable global systems have supported cross-functional business initiatives in Tier 1 financial institutions like JP Morgan Chase in London, Deutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt and London, National Mutual Australia (now AXA Asia Pacific) in Melbourne, and Price Waterhouse in Sydney, Australia.

Arani holds an MBA and a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Management from The University of Sydney Business School, Australia. She majored in Computer Science for her undergraduate degree, and has a Goethe Institute Certificate in German.
