CONNSTEP Rolls Out New Manufacturing Resource

(Hartford, CT, October 3, 2023) – CONNSTEP, the Connecticut Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) center, announced today that it has collaborated with the MFG Skills CT website to introduce “People and Training Resources Near Me,” a valuable workforce information capability for manufacturers in the state.

The functionality behind this online system will enable businesses to identify workforce resources that are within 25 miles of their company’s location by zip code. Users will be able to easily filter through educational centers including technical schools, state and community colleges, workforce development boards, and other resources all in one place.

Talent recruiting and retention is simple and convenient using the search process on the website. A map identifies various workforce resources located throughout Connecticut, with the use of zip codes narrowing the search of opportunities within close proximity.

Search results will include updated contact information, website information, an address and phone number for each resource.

The MFG Skills CT website, created by ReadyCT, is a dedicated forum for educators and employers to collaborate and problem-solve as they create impactful manufacturing pathways. The new People and Training Resources Near Me resource is accessible either by searching the Workforce Resources navigation button on the MFG Skills CT website (mfgskillsct.com) or by going directly to the web address: mfgskillsct.com/workforce-resources/.
