5S visual workplace organizationWhat are the Steps of 5S?

Like many continuous improvement tools, 5S is a simple framework which is very powerful when implemented on the factory floor, in the office environment, or in any other work space. It follows these five steps:

Sort out what’s not needed, and bring in what is needed, throughout your work space.

Set in Order everything you use to create work product. Our 5S experts help you determine where things should be stored to make the most sense. We teach your workforce to categorize their tools, and only keep on hand a quantity that makes sense.  

Download the 5S guideShine. This is more than just getting out the polishing cloth. We help you define for your workforce what “clean” looks like, and then ensure all tools are properly labeled and cleaned. This is when to inspect tools and equipment for repair needs, etc.
