Mercantile Development (MDI) is a specialty nonwoven wiper converter. Established in 1947, MDI is a third-generation, family-owned and operated small business that is WBENC-certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise. We manufacture our proprietary Pro-Series® brand wipers at our 155,000 square foot converting facility and corporate headquarters in Shelton, Connecticut. In keeping with a founding commitment to operational excellence and total customer satisfaction, our Quality Management System is ISO 9001:2015 certified for the design, manufacture and sale of nonwoven wiping products – one of the first in our industry. Pro-Series products are engineered for performance in a broad range of critical environments where wipers are an essential tool in the work process.
