- Participants work within a team of undergraduate, graduate, educators, and industry professionals to develop experimental results while exploring the business-related aspects of technology
- Provide access to research facilities at Yale and SCSU to work on nanotechnology based projects with industry professionals, and will train students with relevant equipment

- Collaborative with the CT state university system, UConn, Yale, Connecticut Community Colleges, and Charter Oak Community College for interdisciplinary research and educational programs related to nanotechnology
- Center housed at SCSU
- Part of Physics Department – Primary resource for material science and physics masters program
- Inorganic and organic material work a strong focus for CNT
- Some equipment available for survey work by fee per use of $2500 collaboration fee
- SEM ,TEM, Thin Film, AFM Topography, Tunneling SPM, X-Ray Fluorescence, Nano-lithography
- Bring in Companies to work with students (ex. Zygote, UTC, Aperture Optical, KX Technologies, Quantum Bipower)
