CONNSTEP’s Cybersecurity Seminar Tackles Breach Severity; Provide Ways to Minimize Risk
May 02, 2017
(ROCKY HILL, Conn., May 2, 2017) – In response to daily cyber attacks including data breaches that compromise businesses, CONNSTEP will hold a free, cybersecurity panel discussion on Tues., May 23, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Sheraton Hartford South, 100 Capital Blvd., Rocky Hill. The panel consists of experts from Integrated IT Solutions, The Law Offices of Shipman & Goodwin and CONNSTEP, Inc.
Connecticut business owners, presidents, CEOs and senior leaders in IT, Finance and Operations are encouraged to attend. To reserve a spot, register by Fri., May 19, at www.connstep.org/cybersecurity.
“No business is too small to be hacked,” says John Granatelli, Business & Technology Solutions Consultant for CONNSTEP, Inc. “More than 70 percent of reported breaches actually affected businesses with 100 employees or less. We’re looking to prepare attendees for the when – not the if – with this seminar and panel discussion,” he said.
The seminar will help attendees learn about why weak security measures can:
- threaten their businesses
- harm their reputations
- compromise compliance with local and federal laws
They will also learn what they can do to make their data and proprietary information more secure.
