Connecticut Business Owners Gain Insight into Exit Planning Strategies

(ROCKY HILL, Conn., March 21, 2017) – With more and more baby boomers deciding to leave the workforce and transition their businesses to new owners, exit planning has become increasingly important. Nearly 50 business owners recently attended CONNSTEP’s dual-session exit planning event, which featured Michael Camerota and Roy Johnson, two industry experts from Touchstone Advisors, a Connecticut exit planning and merger and acquisition firm. They shared their insights on how to best set the stage for this critical life change.
Camerota’s presentation was entitled, “Nine Ways to Leave Your Business,” and focused on educating business owners to:
- better understand their options;
- develop value-based strategies for their business; and
- prepare themselves and their businesses for the next critical steps.
Johnson facilitated the second session – “Developing a Value-Based Strategy for Your Company” – and delved into creating and sustaining owner value. He stressed the trade-off between a company’s ability to deliver value to customers and the need for economic viability. His presentation outlined the necessary steps to outlining a business strategy to create the most value, delivering it to customers while growing the business. (end)
