About

Sirois Tool Co., Inc. manufactures precision tooling and gages along with low-volume precision machined parts and assemblies to our customer’s designs. The company was founded in 1960 and currently employs 38 people in our modern 20,000 square foot facility. We are ISO9001:2008 certified by TUV USA Inc.

We specialize in precision tooling and gages, including tooling for the bearing industry, which we have been manufacturing for over 40 years. This includes custom ID Grinding Quills and other spindle parts and accessories. We also specialize in complex, precision parts and assemblies, especially prototypes and small volume orders. We can handle blanket orders, just in time delivery, same day shipments, and drop ship programs.

Our subsidiary, Dow Gage, LLC designs and sells the complete line of DOW-GAGES, including the Model 10 Bench Comparator, the TACOMP STUB, and a line of accessories for both. DOW-GAGES lend themselves particularly well to the inspection of precision machined parts, screw machine products, stampings, castings and molded parts.

We specialize in the design and manufacturing of custom tooling for our basic gages. Tooling can be made to check lengths, depths, diameters, position (of slots, shoulders or grooves), angle of taper (both male and female), and many other dimensional characteristics.

We have five CNC Vertical Machining Centers, each with a 4th axis and/or indexer. We have a full-time, experienced programmer, along with our skilled CNC machinists who do all their own setups and can help with programming when needed. The nature of our business is small quantity, precision parts and tooling so they are skilled in quick, efficient setups and operations. We have three CNC Turning Centers, programmed, setup and operated by our experienced and highly skilled machinists. They run everything from several hundred pieces to one piece precision form rolls and other complex parts and tooling. We make good use of our Proto-Trak Lathes and Mills, along with other more traditional lathes and mills in these departments. We have several highly skilled toolmakers in each of these departments, along with other toolmakers who can float in and out as the workload requires.

Our EDM department utilizes late model, Charmilles Wire and conventional EDM equipment. The highly skilled toolmakers in this department program, setup and operate this equipment. They have the experience and the tooling and fixturing to do some complex EDM machining.

Our specialty is precision tooling, gages and parts, so about half of our shop space is dedicated to grinding equipment. Surface grinding, both rotary and oscillating, large and small. O.D. Grinding, I.D. Grinding and Honing are all performed here to very close tolerances. We are equipped for and experienced with grinding of many materials, including Carbide. We have a dedicated assembly area with all necessary tools and equipment for proper assembly of fixtures, gages, dies and precision parts. We have several people who are trained and experienced in this area.
