About

CT River Candle ctrc_large_logo

CT River Candles was founded in 2007 by lifelong Connecticut resident, Brenda Hunter. Never quite satisfied with the candles she purchased, she decided to learn how to make her own soy candles that would burn cleanly and provide a strong, long lasting fragrance. Having mastered many handmade crafts in the past, it wasn’t surprising that she would add candle making to her talents. After spending many months researching and testing in her candle workshop, her company was ready for prime time. It was only natural to use the Connecticut River as the inspiration for the name and packaging on her products since her candle workshop is located on the banks of the Connecticut River. Starting with just 10 scents it wasn’t long before customers and retailers took notice of this local soy candle company. Currently there are more than 75 fragrances and 4 jar styles to choose from as well as other scented products and candle accessories. CT River Candles can be found at over 35 retailers through out Connecticut, New England or purchased online at www.ctrivercandles.com.
