Connecticut’s CHIPS Consortium

Connecticut's CHIPS Consortium

The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) is excited to announce an opportunity to participate in a statewide Connecticut CHIPS Consortium, a working group that aims to foster a regional semiconductor cluster involving private, public, and nonprofit entities across the state and to support the pursuit of CHIPS for America incentives for manufacturing and R&D.

CHIPS federal incentive funding will be made available across three Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs). Federal manufacturing incentives for domestic projects focused on the construction, modernization, or expansion of semiconductor fabrication and supply chain facilities will be considered under NOFO 1, which is open on a rolling basis, and NOFO 2, which will accept applications for smaller supply chain projects (under $300 million) between December 1, 2023 and February 1, 2024.
